Senior Associate Landscape Architect - Dubai

We are looking to hire experienced and knowledgeable Senior Associate Landscape Architect who will act as the design team leader under the guidance of the Design Team Director for projects and team’s management. The Senior Associate Landscape Architect will be responsible and be accountable for the Teams’ deliverables, technical, financial, progress, quality performance and completion of all landscape projects. This role will also act as the client-facing ambassador of Cracknell engaging and maintaining high-level interactions with clients and consultants. Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to Business Development and new client acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume technical and financial accountability for all projects delivered by Design Team working under Design Director’s guidance.
  • Manage, monitor and oversee all Team’s projects and review regularly the progress to ensure deliverables are completed to client’s satisfaction and as per technical and contractual terms of the project brief.
  • Guide Senior Landscape Architects, Landscape Architects and Design Support team members throughout the projects to ensure “design direction” set at the inception of the project is followed effectively and to ensure compliance with company standards and meet clients’ expectations.
  • Monitor quality management and ensure overall responsibility for the effective financial management of projects’ expenditure, fees, and timely completion of deliverables within project deadlines, fee budgets and quality standards.
  • Make day-to-day operational and administrative decisions relating to the design team including prioritisation of projects, submissions, resource allocations, team meetings, monthly reports etc.
  • As a member of company’s management, contribute actively to the strategic decision-making and goals-setting of the company as well as its improvement initiatives.
  • Assume responsibility for the proficiency, productivity and the development of skills for the team members with respect to their assigned work.

Technical Competencies:

  • Manage multiple landscape design projects of varying complexity, size and value.
  • Lead and guide the Design Team to create functional, sustainable and manageable landscapes that are in line with company’s creative direction and style.
  • Oversee, review and challenge works performed by the design, technical teams and other disciplines.
  • Be able to interpret technical drawings and documentation, specifications and reports, proposals, technical and financial terms, contracts and tender documents.
  • Demonstrate excellent software skill in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office. Knowledge of Sketch-Up, Lumion, Revit, Rhino is an added advantage.

Position Requirements:

  • University Degree – Post Graduation or equivalent - in landscape architecture or architecture.
  • CMLI UK or equivalent advanced-level professional qualification (preferred).
  • Min. of 12+ years of work experience on sizeable design projects.
  • Min. of 12+ years of work experience on sizeable design projects.
  • Experience of working for international design/engineering related practices will be preferable.
  • Experience in managing project teams/multiple staff .Fluency in English, verbal and written.
