Office of the Future Wins Guinness World Record

It’s not every day that we get to be part of the design of a Guinness World Record winning project! The record is for the world’s first 3D-printed commercial building – Office of the Future, and we are so honoured for the opportunity to participate in the creation of such a landmark project.

As the first of its kind, Office of the Future brings 3D-printing to life on a whole new scale. Cracknell was a key member of the design team that developed the world’s first 3D-printed office which was designed and constructed in record time. Fully functional and permanently occupied, the Office of the Future is currently the home to exhibition space and an incubator for future emerging technologies in the region. It was inaugurated in May 2016, but the announcement of the new record was made just this month. Located at the foot of the prestigious Emirates Towers, in close proximity to Dubai International Financial District, it showcases a range of unique designs that make it sustainable, attractive, and comfortable to work in. Cracknell played an integral part in making the landscape as sustainable as possible with the use of features like 100% LED lighting and preserving a number of the existing trees and planting on site providing the building with a natural yet futuristic feel.
