Cracknell was the lead consultant for Zabeel Park, a prestigious technology-themed leisure and entertainment park with the iconic Dubai Frame forming its centrepiece, from where visitors can take in incredible views of the Dubai skyline. Principal elements of the park, such as barcode gardens, a space maze and moonscape play areas, reflect the technology-based design theme.
Zabeel Park is spread over three plots, interconnected by pedestrian suspension bridges. The park elevates the public green beyond mere outdoor leisure by offering a wide range of activities and sports, public art exhibitions, a city landmark, and ‘edutainment’. Dedicated areas allow visitors to participate in jogging, biking, skateboarding, mini cricket and even mini golf. The focal point of one plot is an idyllic boating lake flanked by lakeside restaurants.
