
A public green space set in the region’s financial economic zone
Dubai International Financial Centre is one of the city’s most recognisable developments, with the iconic Gate building as its central focal point. Established in 2004 as a special economic zone in Dubai covering 110 hectares.
Cracknell aimed to create a contemporary landscape that sets a tone of civic grandeur whilst providing a simple, calm and relaxing setting at the very heart of the city’s financial hub. With the gate placed centrally atop a reflective water feature, the space is framed by a variety trees and foliage providing the area with an outdoor setting for employees to enjoy.
