Candidates need to be proficient in MS Office, the Adobe Design Suite (particularly InDesign), AutoCAD and SketchUp, as well as demonstrating strong hand drawn graphic skills. Revit and awareness of BIM and CDM is essential.

Position Description for Design Team Assistant
Cracknell – an award winning International Landscape Design Practice with a proud history of prestigious projects in the Middle East is seeking to fill a position for an assistant to support our design teams with the management and administration of design projects.
Reporting directly to the Design Team Leaders and individual Project Leaders with regard to day to day tasking. In addition to providing assistance to our Design Teams the role will also involve reporting to our Project Management and QAQC Director as well as our Commercial Team Managers to ensure compliance and consistency is maintained with regard to company procedures.
The role will include:
scheduling & programming
scheduling design team activities such as internal and external meetings and workshops
assisting with scheduling and coordinating team resources and interdepartmental activities
assisting with scheduling QAQC reviews for the Design Team projects
assisting with programming projects and milestone date reminders to design teams
assisting with the management and coordination of Design Team calendars
document control and file management
maintaining, distributing and filing project documentation such as correspondence, records, meeting minutes, client review comments, requests for information
assist with document control including distribution and filing of incoming project documents
assisting with Design Team travel arrangements and bookings
assisting with business expense claims
taking calls and messages for out-of-office staff
checking incoming project email for staff on leave
general administrative support to design teams
project management tasks
assisting project leaders with managing project tasks
assisting project teams with QAQC requirements
assisting project leaders with commercial reviews and reporting
design deliverables preparation
coordinating the preparation of material sample boards
coordinating the printing, collating and binding of project drawings and documents
assist with Design Team reporting for Commercial, Project Management and QAQC procedural compliance
The successful candidate will have the following skills and capability:

good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
