Landscape Architects - London

Cracknell is looking to appoint dynamic and talented Landscape Architects to join its new London office from Graduate through to Associate level.

 

Applicants must be able to:

design; high quality hand and digital presentation graphics are essential

motivate; inspire colleagues, clients and end users

be creative; innovate and demonstrate skills in both hard and soft landscape design with a sound knowledge of technical detailing to the level according to experience

lead; manage and build strong working relationships with fellow professionals and clients

communicate; demonstrate a high standard of written and verbal communication

manage time and tasks; prioritise tasks and be able to interpret client and colleagues' briefs efficiently

 

Our portfolio includes large scale infrastructure and residential developments; international hotels; university schemes; mixed-use, multi-layered public realm projects.

Candidates need to be proficient in MS Office, the Adobe Design Suite (particularly InDesign), AutoCAD and SketchUp, as well as demonstrating strong hand drawn graphic skills. Revit and awareness of BIM and CDM is essential.

Management Assistant/ Commercial Coordinator 

“Management Assistant/ Commercial Coordinator is an important role to our growing business in China. Supporting the Regional Director in developing the business in the region”.

Primary Responsibilities

 Assisting the day-to-day general office administration, coordinating office matters between the local office and the company’s headquarters and assisting in client management, marketing and PR activities.
 Ability to assist the directors on all relevant company establishment/ management matters proactively and efficiently.
 Assisting the director in client/office management, marketing and PR activities bilingually in both Chinese and English. Assist in organising and attending marketing/ PR events where necessary.
 Ability to translate non-financial/ legal/ technical documents with good written skills in both Chinese and English; Assisting the director in preparing general documentation bilingually in accordance with company’s systems and standards.

Education/Training/Work Experience

 A Bachelor’s degree obtained from a reputable Chinese university;
 Postgraduate Degree/Diploma from a UK university in Marketing/Business Management related disciplines;
 Experience of working for international or UK based design/engineering related practices will be preferable;
 Minimum of 1 year work experience

Primary Skills

Technical

Strong working knowledge of:
Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT etc.

Landscape Architect/Graphic Artist

“Landscape Architects play a pivotal role in the operations of the design teams, carrying out the bulk of the project production under the guidance of senior staff and other team members.  They are responsible for certain aspects of projects design process as part of a team based environment, tasked and overseen by the Project Leader.  Accepting an increasing amount of responsibility and managing certain tasks independently is paramount to the continued development of the Landscape Architect”.

Primary Responsibilities

Prepare and develop production material, including; selection of appropriate imagery, CAD plans, CAD details, working sketches, basic sketch up modelling, formatting reports/presentations.
Production of Computer Generated Images for proposed designs, normally as a part of the Concept and/or Schematic Design stages. A thorough knowledge of Sketch Up, AutoCAD and Photoshop essential. Hand sketching skills and a knowledge of Rhino, 3D Max and Revit desirable but not essential.
Develop design material under the direction of senior staff.
Attend internal and external meetings with senior staff as required.
Accept task allocation, ensure clear understanding of briefing, deliver on time and meet or exceed requirements. 
Contribute to the team and be a team player.
Develop a thorough understanding of all design stages and the production deliverables associated with each.
Ability to translate technical or design related documents with sound written skills in both Chinese and English; Assisting the director in preparing design deliverables/reports bilingually in accordance with company’s QA/QC requirements.

Education/Training

A Bachelor’s degree obtained in landscape or design related fields from a reputable Chinese university;
Postgraduate Degree/Diploma from a UK university in Landscape Architecture or equivalent;
Experience of working for international or UK based design/engineering related practices will be preferable
Minimum of 6 months work experience/internship
